Hi, I’m Yun

I’m an Executive and Life Coach dedicated to empowering professionals and entrepreneurs through life transitions, and facilitating workshops that help organizations navigate disruption and transformation. My holistic approach bridges East-West practices, positive psychology, and systems thinking, guiding leaders and teams to build resilience, adaptability, and authentic growth.

Born in China and based in Singapore since the 1990s, I’ve coached clients from more than 15 countries. With 18 years of corporate leadership experience in global banking and change management, I bring a unique global perspective and hands-on expertise to every coaching engagement.

My Story

After a successful career in banking, I captured an opportunity and discovered my true calling: coaching. From the inner source, I realized that my passion for fostering meaningful change and lifelong learning could help others navigate their own transitions with confidence and clarity. In 2021, I became an internal executive coach, earning my ICF-ACC credential in 2022, and then ICF-PCC credential in 2025. I’ve coached hundreds of clients from over 15 countries, blending my corporate expertise with a holistic coaching approach.

At The Coaching Wave (TCW), I believe in a holistic approach that integrates ontological inquiry, systems thinking, and positive psychology. This allows me to help clients uncover their authentic selves, overcome challenges, navigate change, and achieve sustainable growth. I also incorporate mindfulness and energy management to help clients thrive in the complexities of modern life.

I am an ICF - PCC (International Coaching Federation - Professional Certified Coach).

I coach and facilitate in English and Chinese Mandarin.

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed a quiet but meaningful shift in how I see myself and the world around me.

1. Changing my perspective on fear and pessimism - I used to see fear and pessimism as flaws that I needed to suppress or fight against. Through my conversations with my coach, Yun, I’ve come to understand that they’re simply parts of who I am and they serve a purpose. They remind me to prepare, stay thoughtful, and plan ahead. Instead of judging myself for feeling fearful or cautious, I now see those moments as gentle reminders to care for myself while continuing to move forward.

2. Responding to challenges with more calm and clarity - In the past, I tended to react to challenges emotionally, letting frustration or worry take over. Now, I’ve learned to apply the same analytical thinking I use at work to my personal life. When things get tough, I pause and ask myself, “What’s within my control? What can I do right now to change the situation?” This shift has helped me feel more grounded, calm, and capable.

3. Gaining clarity about my goals and direction - Before coaching, I often chased goals without truly understanding why, which led to unnecessary comparisons and disappointment. With Yun’s guidance, I’ve learned to slow down, reflect, and visualize what really matters to me. She helped me build a thought process to define my 6 months goals, and now I make decisions with greater intention, clarity, and compassion for myself.
